Hello and Happy 2017!
I wanted to wish you the very best for the coming year and update you on some exciting changes and plans here at MISCO.
To expand our capabilities and product line in Aerospace, Military and Mass Transit, we’ve just acquired and moved Oaktron Loudspeaker Manufacturing to Minneapolis. Oaktron started in 1954 and like us, they've always manufactured in the upper Midwest. Product Line Manager, Nick Leiendecker, will stay with Oaktron as Senior Development and Manufacturing Engineer. Nick’s presence assures customers of our commitment to the consistency of the Oaktron line. We are now making plans to step up product development and reinvigorate the venerable US brand as “Oaktron by MISCO.” Not an Oaktron customer? Give us a call; we likely have some interesting things for you.
Our 2015 acquisition of Warkwyn Acoustical Labs moved us closer to our goal to be the leading US-based provider of speaker test, design validation and R&D services. Today, ready access for the MISCO engineering group to the Warkwyn team and its world-class test lab enables collaborations that notably benefit MISCO OEM customers. In 2017, we’ll continue to grow and enhance our US-based design and test resources to improve our delivery of project-tailored designs as well as manufactured audio systems and components.
We are continually evaluating opportunities to enhance our company via the hiring of talented and experienced people. I’m thrilled to share that MISCO just hired Tom James. Tom is a very talented and well-known speaker designer. A 30 plus year loudspeaker development veteran, Tom will help lead new R&D initiatives to launch some exciting new MISCO products this year.
I look forward to talking with you about how innovation at MISCO can benefit your products. I’d also like our team to hear what you think we can do to better support your business. Please email or give me a call. In the event we don’t speak soon, thank you for your business. It’s a privilege to work with you and we look forward to serving you in the coming year.
